RB Trent Richardson hopeful of youth vs experience in Cleveland Browns-Baltimore Ravens tie – NFL News
It is going to be youth versus experience in the game between the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens this Thursday with some Browns conceding it will be a steeper challenge for them to fight the Ravens at their home ground.
Although a win for the Browns will not be less than a miracle, some of the Browns including running back Trent Richardson have resolved not to let the inexperience come in their way of challenging the Ravens at their doorstep.
Trent, one of the bright young stars with Browns, imagines how he is going to go about facing his opponents. He said:
"Ray Lewis is going to come at me, and I'm going to come right back at him. That's football."
He even went on to snub the suggestions that the Browns do not have a chance to stand against the Ravens, and added:
"It's another ballgame for us. People say that we don't have a chance, but I know we've got a chance. If everybody straps up their jersey, step up their pads, we've still got a chance against them. I don't care what they say. Lot of folks sleep on us. When
people fall asleep on us, that's when we come with our A-game."
Well, all praise to young Richardson for believing in himself so much, while the Browns’ on-ground reality is on the contrary, some of the only few veterans in Cleveland have shown to be more realistic rather than overambitious. For example, Pro Bowl tackle
Joe Thomas has said to be wary of the difficulties he faces in challenging the Ravens at their home.
He says:
"It's one of the steeper tests in the NFL when you talk about playing in Baltimore."
Independently, almost all commentators see the game to be one-sided but keeping in mind what the Houston Texans did to a better side of the Denver Broncos on past Sunday the Browns can certainly overcome the Ravens' challenge, although a comparison between
the Browns and Texans leaves both sides far apart at two ends.
However, if the Browns are able to generate pace in their offence and manage possession of the ball for a majority of time they can have an opportunity to upset the opposition.
