RB7 most reliable car on the 2011 Formula 1 grid according to reports – Formula 1 news
Recent reports claim that the RB7 is the most reliable car on the 2011 Formula 1 grid as none of its drivers has retired out of a single race until now in the ongoing season.
11 races have been completed in the 2011 Formula 1 season and since the two Red Bull drivers have the most reliable car on the grid, both of them are at the top of the drivers’ standings with Sebastian Vettel in 1st place while
Mark Webber is in 2nd place.
The gap between them is a lot though since Webber was unable to score good consistent results throughout the season as a result of which, the reigning world champion is 85 points ahead of his teammate currently.
Either way, this consistency has earned Red Bull Racing the top spot in the constructors’ standings once again this year and it seems that they are going to take the constructors’ title quite easily since they are over 100 points ahead of McLaren who are
their closest rivals in the championship.
Since McLaren have not been able to score good results consistently and out of the top running teams, they are the most unreliable team, their chances of chasing down RBR are quite low. Ferrari on the other hand do not have two strong drivers as Fernando
Alonso is the only driver scoring good consistent results so they might not be able to take the constructors’ titles either keeping in mind that they are already miles away in from RBR in the constructors’ standings.
Other than that, since the RB7 is consistent, Sebastian Vettel has also proved that he is one of the best in the sport as he has scored 6 wins in 11 races and he has finished off the podium on just one occasion.
Reports added that Sauber are the second most reliable team on the grid as they have been unable to finish on 2 occasions only keeping aside their double disqualification at the season opening Australian Grand Prix.
