RBR driver Sebastian Vettel: 2011 Singapore Grand Prix was a fantastic result – Formula 1 news
Red Bull Racing driver Sebastian Vettel has said that the 2011 Singapore Grand Prix was a fantastic result for him, as he successfully managed his ninth race victory of the ongoing Formula 1 season at the Marina Bay Street Circuit on Sunday, September 25.
Vettel added that he is very happy with his Singapore race performance and after that, he is looking forward to the 2011 title.
The German discussed his Singapore race show and commented, “When we had to push we could pull away quite easily and pull a gap which helped us. I was a bit lucky that there were some backmarkers between me and Jenson and I was able to get back in to the
rhythm straight away, pull a huge gap and then was quite happy.”
He went on to mention, “So in the end on the last lap I faced five cars in quite a large group but there was plenty of room, obviously not that big margin when I crossed the line but I was in control of where Jenson was going in to the last lap.”
The 24-year-old driver further added that his RB7 car was fantastic throughout the Singapore race weekend. In addition, he stated that the pace was good during the Grand Prix and he was satisfied with that. He believes that the Red Bull Racing team will
have another chance of winning the race at the next round of the ongoing season, which is scheduled to be held on October 09, 2011 at the Suzuka circuit.
The team driver has won nine races in the season so far. After completing 14 rounds of the season, Vettel is leading with 309 points in the championship battle. He needs only one point in order to win the 2011 championship, as he is very far ahead of all
drivers in the title fight at the moment.
His teammate Mark Webber was on the last stair of the podium at the 2011 Singapore Grand Prix.
Let’s see how both of the drivers Vettel and Webber perform in the 2011 Japanese Grand Prix.
