RBR driver Sebastian Vettel says he is fine with his teammate Mark Webber – Formula 1 news
Red Bull Racing driver Sebastian Vettel has said that he is fine with his teammate Mark Webber at the moment.
Vettel mentioned that he has no issues in driving with him as a teammate in the 2011 Formula 1 season. In addition, he stated that if Webber stays with the team until the end of the 2012 Formula 1 season, it will be also fine for him, as he does not want
to get used to someone else.
The German talked to the media and added that he knows the teammate issue is always a hot topic, but it is a fact he has no problem with Webber, while they are not the best of friends from the 2010 season.
The Red Bull driver said, “I think that it is pure sensationalism to interpret every little gesture and weighing every word. Of course there have been moments when we have been in disagreement, but that is normal and if this happens we talk about it.”
Apart from that, Vettel discussed his performance in the season so far. The 24-year-old driver added that after 11 rounds of the ongoing season he is looking forward to this year’s title, as he still leading the drivers’ championship with 234 points.
He went on to mention, “Success is a jigsaw puzzle, composed of so many little bits and pieces, and having brought all these pieces together, that makes it interesting to go for it again. I guess that is what makes climbers return to Mount Everest - to ascertain
that you haven’t lost it.”
His teammate Webber is sitting at the second place behind Vettel with 149 points in the championship battle at the moment.
After a disappointing start to the season, he made a lot of improvements in terms of performance after the 2011 Australian Grand Prix.
Both of the drivers are in a strong form and ready to fight in order to challenge the season’s championship in the last eight rounds.
Let’s see how they manage the next two races of the 2011 F1 season, which will be held in Belgium and Italy respectively.
