RBR driver Sebastian Vettel to get RB7 as his title-winning present – Formula 1 news
Red Bull Racing driver Sebastian Vettel will get his RB7 car as his 2011 title winning present.
Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz confirmed this on Wednesday, September 21, 2011.
The youngest Formula 1 title winner has been a blessing for his team with the way he has dominated the season so far. His consistent performance has helped the Milton Keynes-based team secure a first place in the 2011 constructors’ championship with 451
points so far. The team is currently leading with 126 points over its rivals.
Mateschitz is quite hopeful that his team will once again be the title winner.
The 67-year-old Austrian said, “We anticipate that, once again, we will achieve both of the titles this year.”
According to Bild newspaper, the RB7 which the 24-year-old German has unofficially named ‘Kinky Kylie,’ is worth almost a million Euros excluding the 200,000-Euro Renault engine.
In 2010 when Vettel wrapped off the season by grabbing the Formula 1 title, his Adrian Newey-inked RB6 was delivered to his home in Switzerland.
Red Bull’s Helmut Marko said, “Slowly, his garage in Switzerland is becoming too small.”
Vettel is all set to enthral the audiences with his performance at the upcoming 2011 Singapore Grand Prix. The German says that it does not matter much to him whether he will be able to win the title at the Marina Bay Circuit or not but what matters more
to him and his team is that they should win the constructors’ title.
“When it happens does not matter. As long as we are still first after the final race, that will be ok,” Vettel said.
Let’s see whether the defending champion Sebastian Vettel is able to win another title this year and ensure that he gets another Red Bull car in his garage.
