RBR’s Sebastian Vettel wins 2011 Indian Grand Prix at Buddh International Circuit – Formula 1 news
Red Bull Racing driver Sebastian Vettel won the 2011 Indian Grand Prix on Sunday, October 30 at the newly constructed Buddh International Circuit.
After the successful practice sessions and Qualifiers at the Buddh International Circuit, all the teams took part in the race.
All the drivers successfully finished the Indian race on the grid except Felipe Massa, Sebastien Buemi, Pastor Maldonado, Timo Glock and Kamui Kobayashi.
Moreover, the drivers, who finished the race, used the sets of hard and soft tyres throughout the Indian Grand Prix.
The double world champion after securing the 13th pole place in the qualifying round of the Indian race weekend won the race ahead of the all drivers on Sunday.
Vettel managed the 11th race victory in the 2011 Formula 1 season in India.
He was followed by McLaren’s Jenson Button, who was 8.4 seconds off the pace and after battling it out with his rivals, ended up in the second spot.
Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso came on the last stair of the podium at the end of the 2011 Indian Grand Prix.
Red Bull’s other driver Mark Webber started his race from the second position on the opening grid and has been unable to fight for his podium position until the end of the race. He came at the fourth place in the final classifications.
Mercedes duo Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg impressed the 2011 Indian Grand Prix by taking fifth and sixth places for the team after running on the sets of soft and hard compounds.
McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton started his Indian race from the fifth place on the grid due to the three-place grid penalty during the practice session. He also had a contact with Ferrari’s Felipe Massa during the race. After that, he struggled for his best possible
finish in the race and claimed seventh position for the Woking-based outfit in the end.
The Toro Rosso driver Jaime Alguersuari took eighth position for his team in the Indian Grand Prix.
Adrian Sutil of Force India finished his Indian race at the ninth position after putting all of his efforts.
Sauber driver Sergio Perez had a very good time during the Indian Grand Prix. After starting the race from the 20th place on the grid, he tried his very best and finished the Grand Prix in the tenth spot.
Let’s see how the teams perform in the last two rounds of the ongoing season, which will be held in Abu Dhabi and Brazil respectively.
