  1. Sudha ji First of all you lodge F.I.R. in Concerned Police Station of the lost Document as RC book and Vehicle Insurence Certificate  Secondly you apply to  concerned Transport Authority (which issued by the Registration of your vehicle)

you carry following document at the time of driving a bike

driving licence,Polution Certificate,Copy of F.I.R.,Recipt of apply for duplicate document

  2. Hope you would be having the duplicate or xerox copies of the documents

Insurance certificate ,you can get new one from the insurance companies (any) if you provide them the details of vehicle Chassis and Engine No and Registration NO which is painted in Board fixed in fron and back side of your vehicle.

For RC Book you can get duplicate from the Registering Authorities where you have registered it. The NUmber fixed in the vehicle let you find it out.

Go and talk to the office.

If you are the original Buyer you can approach thr Dealer from whom you got the vehicle purchased.

The two document and Road Tax paid Recipt you should carry with you while using the vehicle in the road.

  5. report to rto and report to insurese combay, applay to new  a duplicate license copy etc

  6. Dear Sudha,

First of all don't worry, keep the xerox of R.C. & Insurence(If you have) with your byke. If you have the xerox copy of Insurence, then ask your Insurence agent to issue a duplicate from the Insurence Company. He may ask a nominal charge for it.

Regarding your R.C. Book, First inform your Motor Vehicle Dept. where the byke was Registered. They will provide you the sugessions. You can directly contact the related officer there. Otherwise there will be many agents to do the work. Catch any of them for it. But becareful, don't give any advance to him. After geting the Copy of R.C.,  pay him. Finalise the amount to pay before confirming him for the job

If you have any known person who can handle the matter, take help of them. You can contact the Show Room from where you purchased the byke. They have known and permanent agent to solve this kind of problems. For further assistance you can mail me.

While driving you have to keep the original R.C. Book, Insurence of your Byke, Tax Token, Polution Certificate with your byke. On Road, the Motor vehicle Inspector ask you for all these papers. Those papers should not be expired.

    Thanks,

    Aditya

  7. First report to near police station zoning to the address given while registration of vehicle or to the police station zoning the area of losing the documents. Police people will give you an acknowledgement of your report. This report is a legal/valid sufficient paper while driving and with this acknowledgment you can apply Regional Transport Authority for duplicate RC. Similarly, with this you can apply for duplicate Insurance Papers with the issuing company.
