I have 3 sets of RCA's coming form my aftermarket radio.

a shop installed my 4 channel and sub amp, and ran the wires out from my head unit, behind my dash somewhere, and through the carpets.

i totaled the car and need the RCA's. i already have the power wire. I've taken off almost everything on the dashboard of my 95 cutlass ciera sl.

how do i get them out? i've undone the crpet and have them all the way at the front doors, and the carpet is pulled back. i see it go into my steering column areaesque deal. i have no idea what to do next!

  1. The easiest way to run cable under carpets is to remove the door sill plates at the bottom of the door openings.  They're probably held down with screws in that car.  Remove the plates and pull up the carpet, and you'll probably find the cables.

  2. you can pull the rca's once you unplug them from the head unit rca outs..

take out the head unit - at the back rca are plugged there - unplug them and pull them out from under the carpet .

if the installer had tied them somewhere behind the dash  - use a torch and see where they are tied, the simple thing is just take out the head unit and you'll find the rca path behind.

    good luck
