RCA guide plus gold???

I have guide plus gold on my rca tv and I was wondering if I could use it with my satellite reciever I have a old starchoice reciever so the program guide isnt very good. is there anyway that i could do this?

only if the coax cable is going directly from the wall to the tv not through a cable box or converter.

No, It's not going to work with a sat. receiver because your tv doesn't do a scan of your channels, your sat receiver does. If you had cable hooked up to the tv, then you could do a scan of those channels which would then set up your tv's guide.
