RCA projection TV.?

My picture has a yellow spot in the middle of the screen. the pic. is not very clear. I think it has too much green. I cant find any where in the menu to adjust the grn color and make it less. This was a mothers day present from my husband. He got it used from our son. He said if I cant get the pic to come in better he will give it back. I really want a big screen. Please help me. Thank you.

Have your husband take off the front screens of your TV and while the TV set is on, tell him to look down in side of the three color guns.

Red ,Blue and Green. If it is what I think it is there is probably a fungus growing in side the lens and CRT. This mainly happens to the Green and blue gun. Not to much with the Red. Although on my set the Red had some also. What happens is the coolant they use to keep the bulbs cool starts to develop a fungus from the heat of the guns ( CRTs ) over time. I had the same problem with my 56 "Magnavox. Which I  fixed on my own. It took a few days . But it was well worth it in the end because the set looks like new now.
