RCA television turns itself on every day same time

Question

I have an 8yr old RCA tube type TV model F36665. Every morning about the same time, it turns itself on. There is no internal timer for this, only a sleep timer. I've unplugged it for several days and plugged it in and it still does it. Can it be associated with a power surge of some sort? It just started happening.
