RCA to take legal action against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Dean-c53369 Jones under the law of defamation
Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) has decided to take a legal action against the former Australian cricketer, Dean Jones for his comments on Television, regarding Shane Warne and the RCA.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Jones-c69217, in a TV interview, yesterday, commented, “RCA should l**k Shane Warne’s feet.”
Jones was of the view that Warne had given his precious time and professional services to Rajasthan and thus he deserved to be worshiped.
Warne has been leading Rajasthan since the very first edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). Under Warne’s captaincy, the team won the inaugural season of the tournament.
The RCA is much annoyed at Jones’ insulting statement and it is all set to sue the legend under the law of defamation.
A press release of the body tells, “This remark was considered an insult to RCA as an institution. RCA lawyers will examine any complaint under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections and also go for civil action.”
The secretary of the RCA, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sanjay-c88566 Dixit, has said that they are gathering evidence against Jones and the legal process will start very soon. He says, “The procedure against Jones will be lengthy one, but we will initiate it as soon as possible.”
The RCA is also going to lodge a complaint against Warne today for the legend’s exchange of insulting remarks with Dixit.
After losing a game to Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 11, Warne misbehaved with Dixit in full public view. Warne was not ready to admit the blame for defeat and lashed out on Dixit for not providing appropriate pitches to play.
Rajasthan Royals have been hurled out of the tournament after losing 7 out of their 13 games of the first round.
Some of Warne’s ex-mates are also lauding the skipper’s efforts for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajasthan-c837.
Jones’ comment was a similar attempt, but with careless words which have infuriated the RCA.
