RCL Sovereign of the Seas?

Question

I am planning on taking a cruise to the Bahamas out of Port Canavarel on the Sovereign towards the end of April or beginning of May. I would love to hear some reviews of the ship.

Also, I know that Carnival offers a similar cruise. Should I stick with Royal Carribean or is Carnival better for this trip?

I have never cruised before so any info would be great - thanks!

I have taken many cruises and a number of them have been on Royal Caribbean.  It is a great line with good ships, food and entertainment.  I would recommedn it over Carnival which hasa  reputation as a budget, young folks cruise line.

try cruisecritic.com they have comments from all walks of life that have been on the various cruise lines. we went to eastern carribean on carnival triumph and had no complaints about the ship or the crew. also check out carnival.com they have lots of info for 1st timers there. happy sailing.

I went on this cruise several years ago.  Sovereign is a wonderful ship!!!  If you are a looking for a relaxing vacation, Royal Carribean is the way to go.  But if you like a little more excitement, I would suggest Carnival. :)

Royal Caribbean is th creme of the crop. I've been on many different cruises on different boats, and I will only go on RC. Nicest staff and boats. Don't get sick though!

Stick with ROYAL!!  I have never been on that ship but I have been on Explorer and Navigator and both of them were fantastic!!
