okay so i have an imac desktop. but it hasn't been updated in a while. i can't seem to find my imovie. is there anyway i can download it again for "free" . or anything HELP with anything would be nice.

  1. Hi Samantha - Unfortunately iMovie is not actually a free piece of software. it is a bundled piece of software that comes as part of a preinstalled package (iLife). I think iLife costs about $70.

    However there are other Mac based video editing tools which are free. You might want to have a look at these

    Hyperengine A-v : Trackless video editing for the Mac

    Avidemux - One of the more stable and complete tools out there

    Blender - Big and complicated and professional level. Sure to do what you want if you can master the steep learning curve and the wierd user interface.

    Other than that you're into the 'big guns' such as Adobe Premier or Final Cut Pro
