I almost kinda think

I can hold the world myself

only then to realize

it sits upon a shelf

a shelf of infinite size

A shelf that is brand new

to keep us with the lives of others

whove tried to lift it too.

And occasionally

When i get too dark

and my flower doesnt bud

ill steal someone elses heart

to pump someone elses blood

and if that persons trash,

then of course thier bloods my treasure

so why be born to please?

to be pleased is a pleasure.

when i look into my heart

to find some veins and cells

who are most unaware

that they are little apt to tell

that if i looked into my soul

i just might find a lore

that lore is a hole

its the circle that you bore

the circle you bore through me

with passion in your eyes

with your hate and your despise

perhaps thats your demise

when i become too wise

wiser than an owl

who sits alone at dark

who doesnt waste his body

by giving it a heart

  1. I'm sorry, but I must do this.  "Whove" is the correct word, simply put your apostrophe in there, as "who've".

    3rd stanza: "doesn't", "else's" (both times).

    4th stanza: "person's", "their", "blood's"

"that they are little apt to tell" is correct.

    6th stanza: "that's"

    final stanza: "doesn't"

The person who commented first irritated me because some of their corrections are wrong, and they didn't correct everything.  The main error you've made is that you've left out all apostrophes in your contractions.

Also, your punctuation is a little odd.  There are only two periods and a question mark.  When you have punctuation in a poem, you want to read it with the punctuation, which makes it seem stunted if it is there in some parts and not in others.  Look it over and decide where you really want it to be.  I actually like the question mark, but I don't think you need a period in the sentence after it *if* there won't be any in the rest of the poem.

Lastly I just noticed your capital letters, too.  There are only two.  It's a little odd.

And since I've answered two questions about your poem, would you mind looking at one of mine?  I'd really appreciate it if you did.

  2. Second paragraph, "whove" isn't a word, use "who has",   "and if that persons trash" should be "person's", "thier blood" should be "their",  "that they are little apt to tell"  should be "that they are a little apt to tell",    it's pretty good!
