RED TAIL BOA - New cage questions

Question

My red tail boa has out grown her current cage. I'm in the process of building a new one made out of pressed pine plywood. I was told that oils within pine and cedar was toxic for snakes. My question: Is having an enclosure made out of pressed pine plywood toxic and if so what should I use for sealant to protect my boa?

Use a polyurethane sealer and let it dry and air out completely.
