I just heard that a study found that non-fat milk (bluetop) is just as bad is the regular milk (red top), apparently some university did a study having some people drink regular while the other half drank non-fat and found no difference wtf? What do you think?

  1. nonfat milk has no oil added to it.

2% milk has 2 tbsp of oil added to each serving.

whole milk has 4 tbsp of oil in each serving.

    that is the difference.

  2. Whole milk has more fat and more calories.

Can you include a link to the study, because I'm not sure what you mean by "just as bad as".

The calcium in milk is much easier for your body to use than taking a calcium tablet.  Of course, if your diet is heavy on deep colored veggies and you get all your calcium from that source, that is even better. The problem is, a lot of people don't, and you need the calcium from the dairy products.  Low-fat yogurt, low-fat cheese, and low-fat or fat-free milk are the easiest ways to get that calcium.

To be quite honest I haven't drank milk since my pregnancies with my 4 kids! Other than that I quit drinking it after each were born, and saved the milk for them "STRICTLY!" Even though my whole family passed around this book about the "Human Race" and how we're made to believe so many things, that aren't so. Such as Aids being a complete HOAX!! By the medical profession.......Milk is made for a 400 lb. calf, not humans! And suppposedly according to this book, once a baby is weaned off of (either) the Mother's Breast Milk, or Formula, they no longer need Milk in their diet at all, whatsoever! So long as they get plenty of sunshine, and vitamins through vegetables, and fruits, and plenty of nicely well-rounded meats, grains, fruits and vegeez at each meal. And to never force a child to eat more than they can consume, this only causes them to rely on that much food the next time they eat, therefore causing children to (possibly) become obese teenagers, and then adults. This book went on to say that the body doesn't digest Milk very well and that it actually turns to the consistency of glue in the stomache! Not good! As far as 2% as appose to whole milk, my daughter & I believe that if we're going to consume any milk at all, same as butter, it's going to be the real deal not diet anything! Did you know that margerine is one molecule away from being plastic, we both found out! So, we only eat real butter and have for many years! Just not alot, everything in moderation, you know. Otherwise, your then looking at high cholesterol issues! Doesn't this 2% milk ever make you wonder what do they do to make it? I mean, for all we know they could very well be telling the world they make it this certain way when all's their really doing is adding water H20 to this little bit of milk amount and their you have it, but your paying the same price as if you were to buy real whole milk! That's the sad part, is even though it's less milk, it's still the same expensive amount as the whole milk is! So, if your going to drink milk at all, I say we all drink whole milk,... atleast your not getting burnt on the price for 1/2 of whatever they put in diet milk! And kids are getting the whole vitamin D, out of the real deal. I still give my kids whole milk, until they grow up and decide for theirselves whether or not they want to drink it anymore or not. My grown daughter doesn't drink milk at all anymore like myself. My teens, I have however, educated them on the glue consistancy for when they grow up to make up their minds on whether or not they want to continue to drink it or not! In the meanwhile they only get it for breakfast, and have for many years! I feed them a nice round diet, so they dont need to drink it more than once a day as far as I'm concerned, because I do beleive God did make it for a 400 lb. calf, and not us! They were weaned from breastfeeding many, many years ago. So once a day is plenty to me! And they dont miss it! Great Question's deserve Stars! Smile!!

  4. Well, they definitely taste different, the red top milk has a more creamy taste, therefore leads one to believe it has more fat in it.  Did the study involve more than one brand?  I have noticed the price is often different, maybe one company is being dishonest and trying to sell the cheaper milk for the higher price, to gain a bigger profit.....I definitely can taste a difference though so I would think people would know.  The lower the fat, the faster it spoils also, and the lower fat milk always looks more watery than the red top milk.  I would be interested in a link to see the study if you still have access to it.
