REI Employee vacation rules?

If I take a job at REI, how does their vacation time work? Do you have to accrue it or is it just given to you when you start?

  1. You'd have to check their corporate policy as each company differs slightly.

But most companies will have you work for a designated time (6-12 months) before you are even eligible for vacation time.  Most at that point will then apply the vacation time that's available (again, varies by company) to your account to be drawn on at the 12 month anniversary, and then it will accrue periodically (monthly, weekly, bi-weekly, etc).

I'm sure that this is something that will covered by your orientation and if not, then it is certainly something that needs to be asked about prior to signing your hiring contract.
