Of Course!  I recommend that you have the renewal ceremony and then just serve cake (with a photo-op for cutting it together, etc) and have dessert trays, or light finger sandwiches and punch.  Just a light snack provides you the opportunity to mingle with your guests and thank them for coming, and also a chance for your guests to come congratulate you!

I would invite people back to your house for cake and coffee (or soft drinks). you do want to have an opportunity to mingle

Of course it's ok. The ceremony is about the vows and what they mean. Not about feeding your friends and family.
