RETAINERS ! i need retainers but im not sure what they are..?

i just got my braces off and now i need retainers i know it is some sort of wire to keep it all in place but can ppl see it, like is it on the inside of my teeth or outside ?

the base is inside your mouth and the wire is outside

It will depend on the type of retainer you are given, some are clear trays while others are acrylic with a wire across the front of the teeth and others are fixed retainers.  Don't worry, the worst is over with!  The retainers are nothing compared to the braces.  Congrats on getting them off, follow your Ortho's instructions on your retainer wear to keep them beautiful!
