I recieved my Rex blind stitch hemming machine and just set it up today, the machine did not run..there is no support number in the book... when I ran the machine I heard the motor running but it did not turn the gears to work the machine. Anyway since there is no support number for this machine and after contacting overstock.com who did not have any support info, i decided to try and trouble shoot. At first I thought it was an oiling issue so I put the oil to the machine and pressed the presser foot along with turning the handle manually in hopes to prime the gears... it caight a little but would not run smoothly. Anyway I decided to take the side cover off the machine to find that the motor which is located on the baxk was loose hence the belt was loose hence would not work the machine, the motor itself was working fine.... I tightened the motor up and the machine works wonderfully. The motor feels hot, so i am wondering if this is normal or is it becaue i was trying to make it work that is hot?? I want to know if i should go ahead and return it, hopefully I can get away with that but if anyone feels that the motor should not be hot while running please ket me know.. it is quite hot... I will see tomorrow if it is the same now that the machine is working propley. In the manual it says something about filling a resevoir with oil, but then it only shows six holes to prime with oil.. is there a resevoir for this machine? Th last isssue is how to lock the stitch, i have gone by the instructions but the stitch does not lock and then it can unravel?? Thank you for any help with tis machine, it has great reviews so I am hoping it is plain sailing from now on. Also does anyone have any other support / troubleshooting for this machine?? Thanks Fiona
