I have skated in my new skates 3 times. When i wore then around the house they fitted like a glove. Now i have started skating in them i had blisters on the inside of my feet, not big ones, i still managed to skate in them with blisters but they hurt to do jumps. Is this normal when breaking in skates?

  1. Yup blisters are normal [but painful!], if they really hurt and stop you from skating properly then you can try just putting band aids on them or getting bunga pads. Chances are they will go away with time though, just wait a little longer and see what happens since they're still very new!

I have Risports aswell [RF2 Supers] and they gave me some blistering but it did go away.

Good luck with ur skating!! =]

  2. all new skates are sore when first wearing them, i always use to keep the first hook un done for a fortnight to help nreak them in, and every 30 mins i use to get off and take them of and walk up and down to give my feet a little rest for a few days, try using some makeup pads on the blisters or ask someone in your rink if they could push the area out on the boot to give you room where it is rubbing i had the ankle area pushed out which helps! i also wear bunga pads which i swear by.

    hope this helps.
