My hdtv (1080p) has an RGB input in the back. If i hook my laptop up to it is there a limit to the resolution I can get from this kind of input? I'd like it to be at least 720 like my laptop is.

  1. Depends on the TV. Most TVs handle 1080p only via HDMI, however, 720p via VGA should not be an issue.

720p should not be an issue regardless of your TV.

  2. RGB input will handle anything a consumer has.  Most HDTV's at 1080p is lower what a RGB cable can handle...  So if you can push it, it can display it! (1600+ I believe.... but not overly sure)
