  1. 1He said, "You'll sentence me to six years in prison." If it was true, then the judge would have to make it false by sentencing him to four years. If it was false, then he would have to give him six years, which would make it true. Rather than contradict his own word, the judge set the man free.

    3. Fill the 3-gallon container with oil and pour it into the 5-gallon container. Then fill the 3-gallon container again and use it to fill the 5-gallon container the rest of the way. One gallon will be left in the 3-gallon container.

    4. Five. There are only four colors, so five socks guarantee that two will be the same color.

    5. Silence.

    6. It's part of his job - he's a justice of the peace.

    7. Seven. The four daughters have only one brother, making five children, plus mom and dad.

  2. he could have said" your going to give me 6 years of prison". because the judge would have to make it true to give hime that, but if it was true, he would get 4. and therefore would be false.

fill up the 3 gallon container and pour it in the 5 gallon one. then  fill up the 3 gallon container again, and since there is already 3 gallons in the 5 container, pour the 3 one in there to

5 socks because there are four colors and if you pick 5 then you would have at least one pair of matches.

    silence

he was a priest, and he was marrying them to other men.

    mom 1

    dad 2

    daughter 3

    daughter 4

    daughter 5

    daughter6

    son 7

since eachdaughter only had one brother, ther IS ONLY one brother. if they individually had one brother it would either be only the moms son or the fathers son so the answer is 7

  3. 1) He didn't say anything or he said you will sentence me to 6 years of prison.

  4. 1. The man said, "You're going to sentence me to six years in prison." The judge's decision contradicts how long he said he would sentence the man, so he set the man free.

    2. Fill the 3-gallon container and pour it into the 5-gallon container. Fill the 3-gallon container again and put as much as you can the 5-gallon container. The 5-gallon container contains the first 3 gallons plus 2 gallons and the 3-gallon container contains only one gallon. [This does not take into consideration how much oil sticks to the side of the containers, but it is accurate to within a few drops.]

    3. Five socks. There are four different colours so five socks would guarantee that at least two are alike. [But if it's dark then who's going to notice if your socks don't match?]

    4. Silence is broken every time it's spoken. [But not if you're using sign language.]

    5. Mark is a judge or a minister, somebody authorized to marry couples.

fill the 5gallon container and pour as much as you can in the other container leaving 4gallons in the 5gallon container
