RIDICULOUS DEAL WITH IPHONE!!! HELP? WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I went to australia for 3 weeks and didnt use my iphone at all excpet for music. When we came home it got turned off (my account had been temporarliy suspended) so we called cingular and said my phone was automatically roaming and we would have to pay $4,000 even though we didnt use the internet. Isnt that unfair!? My mom is mad. Very mad!!! They even are going to turn off my sisters and moms phone until we pay it. I didnt even use the internet it was just roaming for internet service!!! Its not fair, we shouldnt have to pay..what should i do about it?

yes there is a way to turn off roaming on your iphone in settings, you will have to pay the 4000. people have been gotten higher bills than this without using internet, and they still had to pay, even lawsuits wont work because its in the contract in fine rint, and you can turn off roaming yourself. sorry :(.

oh boo I'm so sorry!! You should DEFINITELY contest that- you can call your provider and ask them to check your call log/internet log etc to confirm that you didn't use it at all.  That is RIDICULOUS and I highly recommend you get in touch with customer service asap.  

If you argue it enough, they should lower- if not completely remove the charges.

This isnt going to help but to avoid this again, I think you can just turn airplane mode.
