RISD and art colleges

Question

What are some other schools that are like RISD?

I also want to know if I can take double major at RISD and other colleges.

And I ultimately want to do animation but so far I do paintings is that okay? I'm also going to take AP art so I'll have some more variety as well.

Currently RISD rival with SAIC (School of the Art Institute of Chicago). I don't know much about RISD but I do know the difference between the two schools. RISD is known to be technically exceptional while SAIC is known to be highly conceptual-based. What is great about SAIC is that you don't really have a major in the school. You get to take any classes you would like. For example, in a semester you can take a fashion course with a painting course with a photography course. So in a way you can do way much more than double major. Good luck with you choices, both RISD and SAIC are excellent art schools.

Also if you want to go into animation, you should look in MICA, Ringling or CalArts. Studios like Disney and Pixar recruit animators form there.
