RIU Resort,Mexico?

Question

Has anyone stayed at the Riu Jalisco resort in Puerto Vallarta,Mexico? I have heard mixed reviews and want to make sure we are not making a mistake. Just my husband and I. We want a clean place with great landscaping,great beach and plenty of activities. Thanks

My husband & I spent our honeymoon there and it was wonderful. The buffet food gets a little repetitive for lunch and dinner, but you can go elsewhere for food. You either have to get a taxi or ride the bus into town, but it's a nice little ride. And the people at the resort are very attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

RIU is a very nice hotel with nice beach all inclusive but a little bit away from puerto vallarta and if your looking for some activities and tours check this web  http://www.thingstodoinvallarta.com/

Well if you are thinking about the Riu, consider the Riu Vallarta instead of the Riu Jalisco. Both are good hotels, but the Vallarta has a nicer look and is newer.

Downside of both hotels is that Puerto Vallarta can be reached by car or bus only, about 30 minutes trip. Upside is that the beach is way better than of Vallarta's.
