The 49-year-old coach was pleased with his side’s win over Andries Ulderink’s men in the final round of Eredivisie fixtures before the winter break.

The RKC boss admitted that his side has achieved good results in the first-half of this season.
“This was more or less a finale, a cliché to use. It was a much needed win for us. We now go into the winter break with 18 points and that is a good achievement”, Brood said while talking to the journalists.

Both sides had chances to take the lead after the half-time break but failed to find the back of the net. However, RKC took the lead in the 65th minute when Ard van Peppen fired the ball into the back of the net, leaving the home side goalkeeper,
Joost Terol, with no chance whatsoever.
Three minutes before the full time whistle, Jochem Jansen’s own goal made the score-line 3-1 in favour of the Waalwijk outfit.
Following the loss, the Superboeren manager, Andries Ulderink, expressed disappointment as his side failed to trouble the visitors in the second-half.
“We started well but then we failed to play our game. It is disappointing and annoying”, Ulderink was quoted as saying to the media.
De Graafschap are sitting 16th in the league table, two points adrift of the safety zone.
