RNA Breakdown VS DNA Breakdown

which one will have an OH group? If both which one would have more... sorry I hate Biochem, and I just can't find these answers anywhere..

  1. RNA has an OH group that is open thus it is more vulnerable to low pH solutions thus breaking down or degenerating. DNA does not have an OH group that is open, hence it only becomes single strand at high temperature but does not degenerate or breakdown to small pieces.

    Summery: RNA has 2 OH group (1 oxygen attached to another base and the another one just as -OH). DNA has only 1 -OH (Oxygen attached to another base)
