How does it usually work with hotels. what is room service? how does it work? and how do you get it???

First off...the hotel has to offer room service. Its almost like ordering a pizza and having it delivered, except the charge gets put on your hotel account. Some hotels have a menu card that you can circle what you want and hang it on the door. Some hotels have a number you can call (usually the front desk). You decide what you want. Order it. They deliver it to your room. Then when you check out, there is usually a sheet of paper that is under your door in your room. You should see your room service tab on there. It gets charged to your credit card then.

room service is when they have a menu in the room and you can order food n stuff and have it delivered to your room...annd normally there is a button for room service on your phone but if not, you can call the front desk and ask for it
