ROTH IRA allocation?

I'm <25y/o for the moment... is this TOO agressive?

35% Small Cap (20% small cap ETF; 15% micro cap fund I like)

25% Large cap ETF (I have more exposure to large cap in 401k)

20% international (50% in diversified developed / 50% Emerging Markets)

10% REIT

10% Specialty (right now I would put in financials and wait 15 years... LOL)

Is it way too agressive even for my age?

  1. No, that is not too aggressive for your age. At your age, you should be very aggressive. If you feel comfortable with this allocation, then it is good for you. I would only say it would be too aggressive if either you had not been so diversified or if you had chosen junk bonds, commodities, or foreign currencies.

  2. No not too aggressive for someone 25 and has long term goal. Great job realizing that you should start now.

  3. Are you satisfied with it's performance? If so, leave it.

I like no downside risk of loss, 15% guaranteed return on my initial investments, and double digit growth potential in robust markets.
