Indian left-armer, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rich-Pyrah-c2311 Singh, believes that he is a much mature bowler now and hopes to be in contention following the injury to fellow pacer Zaheer Khan.
The 25-year old last played for the country in the 2nd Test match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755.
The player burst on to the scene after some good showings in the Under 19 World Cup in 2004, where he took eight wickets at an impressive average of 24.75.
He made his ODI debut in 2005 and got his first Man of the Match award against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758, where he took a 4-wicket haul.
In January next year he made his Test debut against fierce rivals Pakistan, claiming the Man of the Match with some outstanding bowling display.
However, like many of the Indian prodigies, Singh, also suffered with injury and form, leaving him to cut down on his pace and become more of a line and length bowler.
After the injury to Zaheer Khan, it will be interesting to see whether the Indian selectors opt to play the likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MM-Patel-c1987 or would want to blend in a left-armer that could give them a different dimension.
Moreover, RP has the experience on the English tracks, where he previously toured in 2007, taking 12 wickets, while also bagging a five-wicket haul at Lord’s.
He said regarding his condition, "I am a more mature bowler now than when I started first. I have realized pace in not my forte and have to rely on line and swing, and what better place that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 to showcase that trade. I have good experience of English
conditions, having played three Tests in 2007 and appearing for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Leicestershire-c807 for a season."
Singh’s most notable contribution of late has been in the Twenty20 arena, where he is the all leading wicket taker of the lucrative tournament, Indian Premier League.  He played with the new franchise, Kochi Tuskers, but tasted success with the Deccan Charger
in season 2, where his performances led the team to lift the title.
