So my RPMS have dropped from 3000 to 1100-1200 what could be the cause? The whole carburetor thing, I asked my friend who works on his car he says I don't have one because it's fuel injected?

  1. At what speed and in what gear? We need a bit more info. 1100-1200 RPM is perfectly fine depending on the gear and speed.

  2. Like the other dude said its fine but maybe a little low mine are 2000.

  3. What kind of car do you have? Year, company, model? Please be a little more clear.

  4. 1100-1200 while idling? If so, I had a similar problem with a '94 Mazda 323, and the problem was a dirty throttle linkage. Worth giving it a clean and trying it - can't hurt, and might be a free fix!

  5. Yeah should be 650 to 800, That said. Clean & Lube Throttle Linkage, Have the IAC (Idle Air Control) tested, Cleaned & Adjusted. Check the EGR and for Vacuum Leaks.
