The other night it finally happened. Xbox just froze. It hadn't even been on for 10 minutes yet. I turned it off, and back on, and got the three red rings and a black screen. Now it's working fine. Played about 2 hours last night and watched a few movies. What's up with that? Is that normal? AM i gonna have to wait till it is is completely non operational before i call in for my warranty? Cuz i heard that's what they do, trouble shooting. If you ask me, if it gets the red rings once, it's time to send it in? Thoughts? Opinions? Experiences?

  1. I think the rrod is a mysterious thing.  Sometimes it will show up and then stay there, and sometimes it will show up and then disappear.  As long as it's working fine, then just play it.

In theory, it would be nice to be able to send the 360 in once the rrod shows up, but the problem is that it can go away, so there's no way for MS to know if the 360 really did get the rrod or if somebody is just turning it in to try to get a different 360.
