RSC Anderlecht’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucas-Biglia-c22536 in sight of Serie A leaders AC Milan- Serie A news
Italian Serie A leaders, AC Milan, have their transfer radar fixed on many of the upcoming faces as the club looks to strengthen the squad for the upcoming 2011/12 season, and Lucas Biglia is of the many names being mentioned. The central-midfielder plays for a Belgian club, R.S.C. Anderlecht, and Milan would be hoping to sign the in-form Argentine.
With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrea-Pirlo-c5702 likely to end his 10-year stay with the club at the end of the 2010/11 season, the Rossoneri have revealed their interest in the signing of a new midfielder. The Daviolo officials believe that the Argentine international could be a perfect replacement for Pirlo. Biglia also serves the role of a deep lying playmaker which could make him even more useful to AC Milan’s cause.
Biglia started playing professional football at the age of 17 when he was a part of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentinos-Juniors-c38415. He spent two years with the club and appeared 17 times in Argentina’s Primera Division, scoring a solitary goal in the process.
Soon he started to shine and was approached by another Argentine outfit, Club Atletico http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Independiente-c39561. He served one year at the club and made 49 league appearances. Interest from Europe was gradually reported and Anderlecht snapped up the talented midfielder for an undisclosed fee in 2006. The midfielder has made 171 appearances for the club ever since and has five goals under his belt.
The 25-year-old was just recently called up for Argentina national squad by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841’s U20 FIFA World Cup winning squad in 2005.
Since making his debut for country’s national team, Biglia has continually been watched by some of the top clubs around and there seems a possibility that the 25-year-old could be moving out of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Belgium-c2850.
Biglia’s current contract with Anderlecht runs out in 2012, which means that the midfielder could be available for a cheaper fee. Milan would be hoping to seal the deal at the earliest in order to fill the gap that would be created by Pirlo’s departure.
AC Milan are currently leading the Serie A flight with 68 points, just three points ahead of the second placed SSC http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003.
