Question:

RUNNERS-please answer!?

I have never really run that much until this summer I started training for field hockey. I have been running for about 2 months now and my 4th toenail on both feet ar coming off [actually the right one already did]. ew, i know its gross but what i can do ?? and also how can i prevent it in the future?

  1. Get really good shoes.  Also, make sure to always wear comfortable and thicker socks.

    I used to get really bad blisters so I started wrapping my toes with band aids.  That might help a little.  Make sure your getting the right size of shoe too.  Make sure you have some wiggle room in your shoes.


  2. You can get good running sneakers.

    Go to your local sporting store and have someone who knows what they are talking about help you.  Also, use thick socks and put bandaids on the toes that cause this.

  3. that happened to me. The other one will fall off too so don't try to salvage it. You need more breathable shoes that fit better, because they're either too small (causing them to rub against the top/front) or too big (They have too much room so, again it rubs against the shoe) also, wear band aids. Eventually the nails grow back in a few months.
