Question:

Rabbbit has become very aggressive ?

ok so when ever i put my hand in its cage it will hiss and growl and attack my hand and scratch and bite me even when im feeding it, it backs up in the corrner were i but the food and will hiss at me and attack

what can i do to make it less aggressive and not attack me

its some form of a black dutch rabbit if it helps its round 4 -5 monthes old and is potty trained also

  1. Get it either neutered if male or spay if female. Get a bath towel and wrap it up in the towel and leave its head out and pet it for a long time . Show the rabbit that it is pleasant to be touched by you. do this every day and often , use treats for him while you have him bundled up. Lots of love and attention, never hit him for it ,sounds like he is scared of you.  Hold him in the towel while you watch tv or just sit with him.  


  2. You should get her spayed. She is becoming hormonal and cage defensive.

    Taking away the cage and getting her a more open area like n x pen or free range set up will help too. Waiting til she comes out to clean is good too. Do not reach into her area uninvited.  

  3. get it a hot shower

    if too aggressive, leave it alone...
