  1. I have three hutches for my rabbits. Each of them are hand made. We have a cage area, made of wire, and a house area of wood. Then when It gets cold, we just cover the cages,  or put hay in there. Hope this helps!

  2. I own, a hutch which my dad made several years ago, then I plan on making my own hutches as soon as we move, but I also own 12 cages{All but two were free}

    Here in Colorado we get FREEZING winters, and even some snowy summers! We

    re putting my dutch bunnie's hutch next to a heater, and adding an extra cubby, and insulation, but the past few days it's been like 58 degrees, and I've had to bring her inside,

    I suggest getting a hutch if you normally have weather from 55-85 degrees, if you usually have under or over by a fair amount I would purchase a cage.

    I'll post links to various cages/Hutches I recommend

  3. A great site for building indoor rabbit cages is: http://rabbitcondo.com/condo-details

    It has step-by-step instructions and a video, as well as a concise list of materials.

    You can also choose to build your bunny's house in a different shape then the ones on the site using the same materials. You can even make a pen or fence out of the cubes to allow the rabbit to have time to run outside its cage.

  4. Definitely keep your bunnies indoors! You can actually build your own indoor cage for quite cheap: http://www.guineapigcages.com/

    Originally designed with guinea pigs in mind, these cages also work for rabbits if you build it large enough and include a lid.

  5. Definitely an indoor cage, especially in the winter. Your rabbit must be one of those medium or larger-sized, and during those colder months, the rabbit will be spending most of its time in the cage, so it's better to get a fairly large one. I used to have larger breed rabbits as well and know how difficult it is to get a cage suitable for their size, so I highly recommend doing it yourself. That way there's enough room and the price is low.

  6. I have my rabbits housed in a garden shed type building outside my house. The shed is 20 by 12 feet. Inside I have all wire cages 24 inches that are stacked 3 high. The doors are closed at night, fans are on during the summer. It is a completely covered building that keeps the animals from crazy weather.

  7. Definitely indoors! Get an x pen : http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/r...
