  1. Come into heat about every 6 months..spring is the BEST time for all animals to breed...

  2. They breed well anytime really, usually when they're about 6 months old...that's when my rabbits started breeding. But my rabbits are inside, if yours are outside then they'd probably feel more comfortable in the warm weather perhaps late spring.

  3. Best time is never. Rabbits are already insanely overpopulated, if you want more, go to a shelter or rescue.

  4. I'm Totally against the fact that people BREED but the best time to BREED a rabbit is spring..

  5. In captivity rabbits will breed just about any time. They tend to be more receptive when they have warm days with lots of light, spring through about mid-fall. In the wild they generally won't breed in winter but in captivity we can control how much light they have.

Female rabbits will be more receptive to breeding at times, but they don't come into heat like most other animals do. They are what's called an 'induced ovulator', meaning that once they breed with a male they release eggs to be fertilized, instead of going into heat, releasing eggs, and then breeding.
