  1. yah keep it near the mom for 3 weeks then u can take care of it like a normal rabbit i had one my stupid dog killed it though! :( Good luck i hope u hav fun w/ ur bunny!!

  2. you cant have the baby kit when its born it need to stay with the doe for 8 weeks until its old enough to be weaned,

If your friend is breeding rabbits she should know what she is doing and if she did know what she was doing she would be able to tell you,

When the rabbit is 8 to 10 weeks old you need a cage a water bottle rabbit food hay straw shavings.

I have put a link up for you to read and hope this helpshttp://www.smallanimaladvice.com/looking...

  3. if you take the baby from its mum when it is too young then the baby won't survive because the baby will be too weak to aid for itself. It would also be best if you got 2 rabbits, of the same s*x rather than just the 1 as rabbits enjoy company, and the odds are her rabbit will have at least 6 babies.

  4. The kits (baby rabbits) MUST stay with their mother until AT LEAST 6 weeks of age. At this point, they can be weaned from the mother and placed in a separate cage, if need be.

However, it is ILLEGAL in many states to sell (or give away) rabbits or poultry under the age of 8 weeks (2 months) in many states. So by doing this, your friend may be risking the law, and causing a bunny their life. Kits are born with their eyes closed, ears closed, and no fur, so the chance of survival is zero to none without their mother.

Please do the responsible and do not take this rabbit after it is born. Instead, educate your friend on the dangers of doing so, and suggest that she research more about rabbit care before the babies are born.

  5. buy a book.

    or google it

they shouldnt be taken from their mother too young thats cruel. :(

  6. I have two

And they are a MESS! they p**p all over haha. and one of mine sprays urine at me. Anyways, they eat timothy hay, rabbit food from the pet store and carrots, along with a long long list, What i did before i got mine was go to google and type in "rabbit care" i also read a lot of books from the library. I would do that to get to know EVERYTHING you need to do not just a couple things....

They need their cage cleaned often so they dont get sick, and some dont like to be pet or cuddled at all, they just run away. Also they do bite. They smell a bit too, but not too bad if you clean your cages out well. You cant give them baths though. They play with a lot of different things i give mine paper balls, bells, some hard plastic baby toys, and paper bags. also you can teach them to chase you! It's very cute.

I'd suggest going to your local library and checking out a couple books on rabbit care, they're easy to find in your pet section. Good luck!
