  1. Need to now a few things.

    Is he still doing poos?

is he mobile or does he just sit there?

How long since he last ate?

once you answer these i will be bale to help you.

  2. Tooth grinding indicates pain in rabbits. I suspect your rabbit has tooth overgrowth-a very common problem in rabbits.I can bet that he has not been given a steady daily diet of timothy hay,the one thing that would have prevented this from happening. Before your rabbit dies,I suggest you bring him to a rabbit-savvy vet,(call around for some info)for an examination.Ask the vet to closely examine the teeth for over growth or malocclusion.

If he has not been pooping he may have bowel blockage or stasis in addition to ,or instead of tooth-overgrowth and as this is also extremely life threatening he must in any case be seen by a rabbit knowledgeable vet.

  3. Without actually seeing the rabbit it's difficult to give an accurate answer.

Rabbits are hind gut fermenters and their stomachs make gurgly noises, although these tend to be quite quiet so the fact you describe them as loud is quite concerning.  They can also chew their teeth as a sign of contentment, the same way cats purr, but again this is a quiet noise.

If there is a change in his eating habits, or his poo has changed (more runny, smaller, stopped completely) you MUST take him to the vet.

Knowing your animal is unwell and not doing anything about it is cruel and unfair.  I'm sure you can come to some agreement with your vet, and if you live in the UK and are on certain benefits, the PDSA will be more than happy to help.

Please take your bunny to vet.
