  1. Try leave them alone.

When she gives birth, she will need water, so have a dripper filled with water close to her, or a cup of water, or whatever you give her to drink in.

    Lock THE MALE AWAY!!!

He willl try tramble and mate on the babibes and mommy!!

Ok, dont touch or fiddle or look or disturb moommy and babies!

leave them alone and poor daddy will have to be caged for a few days.

mum will have instinct and collect grass to keep baby warm.

then either she will look after or she will dump em.

    my rabit dump em.

    so i handraised them up.

okay, so check up on the regualrary if mom seems to be looking after the babeis. if not, buy NO LACTOSE MILK and warm abit, then put in dropper and feed for 1 minute to each baby.

since first time, i think you might have 2 babies.

but my second batch produced 8!!

so after feeding them 1 mintues each, gently massage tummy so it digests properly.

then put them together warm in container with lots of cloth and fur.

they will crawl around and pee and poo everywhere, but just a droplet! XDDD

then, do that around 3 times a  day.

once in the morning, then midday, and a heavy one at night.

on day 10 or 12 they will open eyes and ears!!

    so cute!!

in between then they will grow light furr!!

start on shredded carrots and let them out surprovised at week 2 or 3.

mum and dad in cages. let them play around and nibble on grass in sunshine =D

then by week 4 they should look like a healthy little ball of fur!!~

ready to give away at week 8.

    good luck!~

im sure you will have an emotional time like i will.

  2. 1) Dont pick the mother up when she is pregnant

    2) Leave her alone whilst she is kindling, but check the babies and mother are alive and well when she has finished

    3) The mum will NOT eat the babies if you touch them. Many people believe this but aslong as the mother is used to your scent everything will be fine.

    4) Check that all the babies are being fed, but remember baby rabbits only need feeding once or twice a day as their mothers milk is so good.

    5) Dont worry if the mother isnt spending much time with the babies, like I said before they dont need feeding much. If the babies look extra thin and the mother really wont go near them, you will need to seperate them and hand feed them. give kitten formula or goats milk. If this happens, babies can never be reunited with their mum, and i wouldnt suggest breeding her again.

    6) Give pregnant rabbits and mother with babies as much food and water as they need.

    7) If you use a water bowl instead of bottle, switch as babies are likely to drown. also many babies that are sold will go to families that use bottles so get them used to it.

8)Nest boxes should be put in hutches 2 or three days before due date (31 days after mating). The mother should pluch fur from her dewlap (the big flap under her chin) and make a nest. If she uses it as a litter box you may have put it in too early.

Good luck, Im sure everything will be fine. Once the babies are 8 weeks old you can sell them to good homes :)

  3. Make sure they are warm but otherwise leave Mummy alone to do her thing. If you handle the babies it is possible she will reject them. You have to remove Daddy though. best of luck x x x

  4. provide them with lots of warmth

you dont really need to know much about it, just keep them with the mother
