  1. adopting cost around 20.00+

vets cost (depends on your vet..)

    Food bowl/water cost like 5-7.00

Litter box/ stuff like that cost like 10.00+

brush and nmail trimmer cost like 5 dollars...

it depends how old your rabbit is

1 year older, get timothy hay.. and that's pretty much it..

    good luk!!

  2. Out of all of my animals (cats, birds, hamsters) my rabbits are the most expensive.

    Bedding: $20/month

    Hay: $10/month

Food: $15/month for pellets, $30 for fresh veggies

Vet care: can be really expensive.  Rabbits have sensitive systems and need vet care at the first sign of a problem.  I have spent over $1,000 this year on rabbit vet care alone because he stopped eating and I almost lost him.

Everything else you need would be between $5-10 and includes toys to play with, water bottle, bowls, and litter box.

  3. adopting I hope is free.  You can get even pedigreed rabbits for free.  Why?  There are so very many of them.  I hope you'll research well and get the type you'll really really like.  Sorry, costs to keep, I don't remember.  But whatever it is, whether you have a rabbit you really really like or not.  How much will depend on food available.   Food and care costs would be about the same for a cheap or pricey rabbit, one you just grabbed as it was available, or one you searched for, so one you like is first consideration.

And please be careful to research cage requirements.  Make sure they can easily be kept clean and have a healthy amount of room to move about in.

If you are trying to keep costs low you may be able to find tools etc second hand.  Doen't hurt to ask on on line free ads.

  4. $20 - large bag Carefresh bedding

    $7 - bag timothy hay

    $7 - bag of pellets

    $5 - litter pan

    $5 - water bottle

    $5 - ceramic food dish

$10 - toys to play with

$5 week - fresh vegetables (if bunny is 10 weeks old or older)

free - scrap cardboard and toilet paper rolls

This all depends on what pet store you go to and what quality you're willing to pay for. You won't go through much bedding, hay, and pellets if your bunny is a baby. There's cheaper bedding, but Carefresh is the best. I use the white bedding so I can see if the bunny's urine changes color (which could be a sign of illness). Another thing you'll need is a bunny towel or blanket, which can be any old blanket you have. When you need to catch your bunny, pick him up, or clip his nails, throw a blanket over him and pick him up in the blanket. This helps your bunny feel secure.

  5. The cost of the rabbit itself can vary drastically. Adoption usually costs more than buying a rabbit from a breeder, but you are also helping save a life by adopting. Never buy a rabbit from a pet store. Responsible breeders do not sell to pet stores, those that do are backyard breeders just trying to make a quick buck.

The best quality rabbit pellets on the market actually are more affordable than the ones you buy at the pet store. Prices still vary depending upon your location, but in my area a 50lb bag of Purina Show Formula costs $13.

Everything else also varies -- drastically in some cases -- depending upon where you are located and the quality of the products (e.g. plastic crocks v. ceramic crocks).

Your best bet is to call around to local pet stores or check their websites online for prices. For feed, find local dealers. Pet stores do not carry the name brands such as Heinold, Purina, etc.

  6. Well if you buy a rabbit from a pet store I would say around $10.00.Adopting one the cost is about $20.00.

  7. depends you want a bowl that buckles into the cage thats either metal or granite so he cant bite it  and brake it. 15 Dollars  if theres a tray 20.00 with Kitty litter (helps the smell) or if its open bottom outside 0.00 dollars

  8. Please don't get a bunny from a breeder like the above suggested. They are just looking to dump stock so they can breed more.

You get an already neutered and litter box trained bunny when you adopt from a rescue or shelter.

It costs hundreds to neuter at most vets.

Shop around, esp. online. You can get deals that way.
