  1. Hello, I have a rabbit, and I've been in rabbit 4-H for a number of years so i should know... well to answer your first question, I buy timothy hay for my rabbit at a local pet store, or more conviently, my grocery store. I wouldnt use horse hay because there could be some other stuff in it like insects or poisonous plants. It only costs like, 2.00.  To answer your second question, you just have to let it heal on it's own by wraping it if you dont have a vet around. Try to find the fracture, and straighten it out. If your bunny struggles, try icing it, or giving it benadryl. DO NOT OVER drug him. Only a SMALL dose is ok. Otherwise, you'll kill her/him. Oh yeah, you should NOT give your rabbit: apple seeds, Lettuce, Ccabbage, and grapes. These "treats" will kill her.

  2. I have horses so use their hay for the bunny, is cheapest that way..

if injured they would need more protein/calcium

but really they would need a vet MOST.. there are always vets.. my vet is an hour away.. but still I would go...

  3. I don't know of any but there is a social network community for pet lovers of all kinds at http://tinyurl.com/6qwjcb - so maybe someone there would be great to help you out.  It seems fun.  I just joined.

There's also a no kill rescue group called BunnyLuv http://www.bunnyluv.com/

  4. well, you can buy timothy hay at any pet store, and if you want to try to grow your own that works too! about the second question, your rabbit needs a vet, I would try looking up vets that are at least some what close by. if not, look at this website for info: http://www.threelittleladiesrabbitry.com...

  5. please do some research on calcium intake for rabbits, it's deadly to them for the gas that it can cause.  Also, oxbow is a great vendor for hay, but KAYTEE has a brand of timmy hay available at Walmart or Target (Animal Planet brand at Target)  Broken bones are already done for bunnies, don't worry about supplying a special diet, just a happy, fun life for bunny will be best

  6. timothy hay can be purchased at any pet store or even some supermarkets i know kingsoopers has it if theres one near you just look in the small animal section of each store as far as veggies i would give her anything thas dark green or red leaf no iceburg lettuce it makes them bloated but carrots of coarse celery mine just ate mushrooms no corn but try broccili cauliflower kale spinach green leaf romaine fruits try blueberries and raspberries maybe strawberries some like nuts and seeds dont forget the alfalfa good for digestion and when im out and about illl pick wildflowerws leaves off bushes twigs and all and any wild berries i find even grass as far as the injured leg make sure she dosent hop to much keep her as still as possible til it heals but i would try some vets even if they say just dogs or cats they may not service rabbits on a regular basis but most vets are taught about rabbits explain your situation they might make an exception or can refer you or give you adivce

  7. You can buy Timothy Hay at pretty much any pet store.

I'd look for a vet for you're bunny, especially one with experience, they will lead you in the right direction.
