Rabbit trapping help?

Hello, I am trying to trap rabbits with a live animal trap. there are rabbits EVERYWHERE, and they are around the trap, but they don't seem to be interested, I put lettuce, peanut butter and raisins in there for bait. and thaat is apparently not working too well. what should i use for bait?

  1. The answer is not the bait. The problem is most likely the human scent you left on the trap. Did you use any sort of gloves when you handled the trap? If not, the rabbits are smelling it and not going in.  Also, the more times you go around the trap you leave more scent and that will keep them away. Put on some gloves and go relocate your trap. Then leave it alone for a few days. (check it from a distance). Also all you really need for bait is straw or grass cuttings. Just to give you some extra help I left you a link.
