  1. OMG!! go to the doctor ASAP!!!

    Ur goin to die!!

We all know how dangerous it is when fur rubs up against our leg.

Get medical help before its too late!

  2. unless he broke the skin don't worry.

  3. no dont worry

  4. Just take a shower.

  5. not unless he broke the skin

  6. you should be fine. If you are realy worried take a shower! Now if it broke the skin, you should speak to your physician asap

  7. well if it bit you trust me you would know by now mainly because you would be scratched up lol but yes they can be aggressive and hostile at times but touching you with their paws and so forth is their way of identifying you

  8. If your worry is whether or not you may have gotten rabies, no.

Rabies is transmitted through bodily fluids (usually saliva or blood) of an infected animal.  I'm pretty sure you would have realized if it bit you or not.  If you have any cuts or open wounds on your leg, even if they are not from a bite, and the animal spit at you or the fur felt wet I would thoroughly clean the site and go to a doctor.  If you do not have any open wounds and the fur felt dry the chances of you contracting the disease are slim to none.

However, only a doctor can say for sure.  If you are uneasy about it, go to the doctor.  It's a fairly simple blood test and your worries can be laid to rest.

Also, because the raccoon was seen during the night is another reason to not be too worried.  If it had been daylight and this happened I would suggest you to immediately seek medical attention.  Raccoons are nocturnal by nature, there is nothing strange with seeing one running about at night.

  9. If you KNOW it didn't bite you, don't worry.

If you think it might have, see a doctor.

  10. even if it was rapid ( if you saw it in the day ) it would have to bite you .. your fine the fur might be a little dirty but other then that there is nothing to worry about

  11. No. Trust me. If it had bitten you, you would know it. Just feeling its fur isn't going to give you any disease that I know of.

  12. no, nothing can come from his fur except maybe ticks that may have jumped off him into your garage...  you showered after the encounter.... so don't worry about anything happening....
