  1. be a little clearer by what you mean by race.

  2. I would just focus on the "we're different but we're all the same on the inside" angle unless you want some angry parents! Also, if you have a minority in your preschool, ask the parents how they wish to be referred to - Asian American or Korean? Hispanic or Mexican? And for a craft activity give them different shaped faces to color. I bet they'll be purple and red and white and blue! Also, look for a few books that don't focus so much on how people look different, but just a selection of different races in it. For example, I loved "Everyone Poops" by (I think) Toro Gami - it doesn't talk about Asians, but the characters are drawn Asian.

Good luck and have fun. Let us know what you go with!

  3. wait? r u talking bout race like color of skin? b a lil more clear.

  4. You can buy flesh colored crayons and construction paper at the store with a variety of race colors.

Or you can do themed days, each day represent a different race/culture

  5. Race as in skin color?  Or Race as in running?

If it is a skin color thing, they make crayons that are skin toned, and you can have the kids draw picture of what they think they look like with these crayons, but it can be a touchy subject, so be careful.

If you're talking "race" as in running, I always liked the one where you're tied to your partner and have to work together to win.
