Race favourite Harveys Silver expected to take the Grade OR The £9.99 Sizzler Deal Novice 750 at Harold’s Cross
Harold’s Cross will be hosting the Grade OR The £9.99 Sizzler Deal Novice 750 on 27th March, 2012. Kearneys Secret, Dogtanian, Clydal Minnie, Kish Commodore, Harveys Silver, and Gimme Spartan will be competing over 750 yards
for €255.
Things are looking in favour of Harveys Silver in this race, as he will be racing as the favourite with the odds of 6 to 4. Trained by G. Holland, the hound will be running in the fifth race of his career, and it will also be his debut at Harold’s
Cross.
The son of College Causeway, out of Sterling Silver began his racing career on 15th January, 2012, where he finished in last place.

He showed remarkable progression in his next race, as he finished as a runner-up on 11th February, 2012, where he missed a finish in first place by a wide margin of 5 lengths to Three Guesses.

He demonstrated his full form on 25th February, 2012, as he defeated, Roseville Maggie, by an immense difference of 7 lengths, claiming the victory in an impressive time of 32.77 seconds.
Gimme Spartan, trained by Kearney, will also be making his debut at Harold’s Cross in this race. The son of College Causeway, out of Kerryroad Lucy, comes from the same bloodline as Harveys Silver. This black hound started his racing career on 24th February,
2012, and finished fourth, a strong finish for a new comer.
He showed his true potential on 22nd March, 2012, where he finished as a runner-up by finishing 2 ½ lengths behind, Business Doc. He still has the capability to improve with time, as he is still inexperienced.

He may show some progression in this race. In this race, he has been given the odds of 3 to 1, and expected to claim a placed finish.
Kish Commodore has been given the odds of 4 to 1 for this race. Trained by O’Rourke, he has shown improvement in his recent performances. He has more experience than the other hounds, and has the benefit of racing at Harold’s Cross before. He has raced
at Harold’s Cross along with other venues including Dundalk and Shelbourne Park.
He emerged as a victor from the Shelbourne A4 525 Semi-final at Shelbourne Park on 22nd March, 2012, where he raced as the joint favourite. He defeated Park Abby, also a joint favourite by a marginal difference of half a length.
For this race, Harveys Silver is expected to take the lead, but his run may be challenged by Gimme Spartan. Kish Commodore, with his experience and skill, may challenge both these runners and claim the victory, leaving Harveys Silver to finish second
and Gimme Spartan for a finish in the third place.
