Race favourites Air Force Solo, Boyneside Banty and Blackrose George ready to dominate the Bedford Road Dash Dup
The Grade OR Bedford Road Dash Dup will take place at Henlow today, 29th
March, 2012, at 19:54 GMT. The six hounds will be competing for £150 in the 277 metre race. Blackrose George, Boyneside Banty and Air Force Solo will compete as joint favourites, with odds of 3 to 1. The other runners are Ballymac Henry, Glengall Flash
and Run Softly.
Air Force Solo, trained by R. Holloway, previously performed well at this track. He triumphed over, Guinness Pirate, by 4 lengths in the Grade OR Bookmakers Dash on 1st March, 2012, where he finished in an impressive time of
16.71 seconds.
The son of Top Honcho, out of Nifty Princess, claimed another placed finish at Henlow, as he finished third in the Grade OR Stondon Dash on 15th March, 2012. He covered the 277 metre track in 16.90 seconds whereas winner, Lil
Risky, finished in 16.56 seconds.
His recent race, the Grade OR Coral 475 (Duplicated) took place at Hove on 22nd
March, 2012. Much to the disappointment of his trainer, he finished last. He stumbled and lost pace, which cost him the race.
Due to the fact that he performed well at this track, and is comfortable with the distance, he is likely to succeed.
Boyneside Banty, son of Head Bound, out of Generosity, will be making his debut at Henlow today. He has previously raced at Sheffield, Doncaster and Belle Vue.
Trainer J. Hayton was greatly pleased with his victory in the Grade OR Owlerton Bookmakers 280 at Sheffield on 6th March, 2012, where he entered with odds of 11 to 2, and defeated, Boher Legend, by a wide margin of 4 ¼ lengths.
He stood third in the race that followed, the Grade OR The Owlerton Bookmakers Sprint at the same track on 13th March, 2012. His finishing time was 16.40 seconds, whereas the winner, Swabys Tony, finished in 16.24 seconds.
Blackrose George has run at Henlow before, thus he has the advantage of familiarity with the track. He finished third in the Grade OR Bookmakers Dash at Henlow on 22nd March, 2012. With the finishing time of 16.86 seconds, his
trainer, E. Cantillon, was impressed as winner, Moany Tony, finished in 16.79 seconds.
Earlier in the season, the son of Big Daddy Cool, out of Tyrur Betty, raced as a joint favourite with Stress Count, and finished on top in the Grade D2 277m flat race on 9th March, 2012 at the same course. He raced with determination
and left the runner-up, Go On Paddy, 2 lengths behind.
With a line-up this impressive, it may be difficult to predict the winner, but Blackrose George and Air Force Solo may fight for a finish in the first place leaving Boyneside Banty to finish third.
