Race for a character?

Question

so basically a new character just teleported into my main characters room (they're friends) but I don't know what she is.

Like race wise? I was thinking she could be a fairy or something (but that's sort of lame) so I don't know what to make her? What creature can teleport and do magic stuff?

Not a half demon please anything else though would be helpful thanks.
